Making a Come Back

I know I keep saying "I'm Back", but this time I really mean it!

I'm a busy little bee these days. I'm working on projects and enjoying my summer off.

So far photos have been the focus of my projects this summer. Awhile back I started hanging some photos at my in-laws. One of the frames did not have the hardware to hang the photo on the wall, so the project got put on hold. This month I finished the project, hanging the last two pictures I needed to hang to finish the wall I was working on.

This project was great and taught me a lot about my antique photos. Three of these photos have a convex glass to the front of them. Apparently this was the trendy way of framing photos at one point. Well, convex glass is a framing nightmare! I learned that the photos eventually warp to the shape of the glass and can never be flattened again. That means if the glass breaks you have to replace it with convex glass, which is very expensive. Like I said, this has been a very informative project!

My other photo project has been to label and place all the hubs photos (from the old film days) in photo albums. It's been quite a project and time consuming. I'm making progress but it's slow. Matter of fact, I need to get back on it once I finish up blogging ;).

I've also spent some time with Parker. She's so cute and I love doing things with her. At the beginning of June, I spent an afternoon just hanging out with her while I let Lindsay get some stuff done. We played all sorts of games and had lots of fun doing things like balancing blocks on our head. And another day I went grocery shopping with her and her mom. I enjoy getting to spend time with her anyway I can!

I've really been enjoying my summer. I'm currently reading Beautiful Creatures after waiting for my turn to the library ebook copies. I'm already enjoying the first book and can't wait to see where the series goes!

Well, I guess I'll close this post up (I always find closing a post awkward...just like I find concluding a paper awkward...). Anyways, I hope y'all are doing well, I've missed sharing with you and I hope my new plan helps me to get back to blogging!
